UEFA Cup Betting Odds

Middlesborough are second favourites for the UEFA Cup after overcoming Italian giants Roma.

Steve McClaren’s men are as short as 3/1 following that famous victory, although a number of bookmakers including SportingOdds and Totesport are offering odds of 4/1 on Boro.

Leading the market are German side Schalke, as short as 5/2 with Ladbrokes, but available at best odds 3/1 with Stan James. Next up in the betting, joint favourites with Middlesborough, are Spanish outfit Sevilla at 4/1.

Middlesborough will attract plenty of support in the betting because they have arguably the easier draw, facing Swiss side Basle in the Quarter Final, and then the winners of the Steaua Bucharest and Rapid Bucharesti game in the semi’s. This means they wouldn’t have to play either of the big two Sevilla or Schalke until the final.
