Premier League winner Betting

The new Premiership season looks to be a competitive betting event with bookmakers and punters alike split between Man Utd and Chelsea as favourites. The Premiership betting odds are tight, with Man Utd slight favourites at best odds 6/4 with Blue Square and Bet 365, with Chelsea available at slightly longer best odds of 15/8 with Paddy Power and Coral. Chelsea has new manager Big Phil Scolari at the helm who has a wealth of experience and will be expected to mount a strong title challenge with the transfer funds available. Meanwhile, Man Utd has supposedly their best ever squad, making this season’s Premiership betting as thrilling as ever.

Arsenal, who came close last season until a late dip in form, is available at best odds 6/1 with Sky Bet and Ladbrokes. Having lost influential midfielders Hleb and Flamini it is difficult to access whether new recruits such as Nasri and Ramsey will be adequate replacements. However, if Arsenal’s young squad can grow from last season’s experience they could mount a serious challenge and odds of 6/1 make appeal.

The final serious contenders in the Premiership betting market are Liverpool, available at odds of 7/1 with all online betting firms. Having made a number of high profile signings including Robbie Keane from Spurs, Liverpool will attract a lot of interest, but question marks remain about whether they can mount a serious title challenge.

A number of online betting firms have made the Premiership betting more interesting by creating some special betting markets. First up is the “betting without the big 4” (Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal). Tottenham are 2/1 favourites for this Premiership betting special market, with Aston Villa 5/1, Everton 6/1, Portsmouth 7/1 and Man City 8/1. With a number of new signings and managerial changes in this market, it’s a difficult one to call but here at Free Bet Finder we like Portsmouth each way at 7/1, which has quality throughout on their side and an excellent manager in Harry Redknap.

Another interesting Premiership betting market is the “PFA player of the year betting”. Only Paddy Power is offering odds on this market, and Ronaldo is the 10/3 favourite.
